Amsurg, a successful healthcare company that operates partnerships with medical professionals in outpatient surgical facilities, wanted to run a test of an initiative of marketing directly to consumers. The target: 50+ adults who, as part of their health regiment, ought to have a colonoscopy. In the interest of fair disclosure, the company decided after a three market test to discontinue the project. We’re including it here for two reasons: we believe the work on the website and accompanying online media is some of our best stuff, and with adequate resources, could be a home run. And in the tests, our online efforts outperformed the concurrent traditional media expenditures manyfold.
