I'm in Online Marketing. Why can't I keep my own blog up to date?!?

(0) Comments | Posted: Monday June 9, 2008 in The Pink Boa Blog - by Hannah Paramore

Really. This is getting ridiculous. I know better than to let a blog lay dormant. I preach all the time about the need to COMMIT to blogging. But the truth is that it’s a bigger commitment than even I thought. And the bottom line is this -

The Trouble with Content Management Systems

(822) Comments | Posted: Sunday June 10, 2007 in The Pink Boa Blog - by Hannah Paramore

Everybody wants one. But when they get it, they don’t know what to do with it – even after training. This is what we are seeing with our clients. While a CMS is expected in website development, it’s ludicrous to think that companies who are almost always strapped with too few people in marketing, not to mention the uber vertical of online marketing, will have the time to strategize how to use their new site AND possess the design skills necessary to ensure a good page layout, well-cropped photos and witty, appropriate copy.

Lead Generation - What Should You Expect?

(0) Comments | Posted: Tuesday May 15, 2007 in The Pink Boa Blog - by Hannah Paramore

Lead Generation is all the rage right now in online marketing and it ought to be….As an advertiser, you have the right to know as much as possible about where your ads are running, who is delivering the most leads to you, and how much each lead costs.

The New Adobe Creative Suite 3

(0) Comments | Posted: Thursday April 12, 2007 in , - by Angela Rohner

Adobe recently launched their new line of creative products, Creative Suite 3. After buying Macromedia, Adobe took control of the Dreamweaver, Flash, and Fireworks lines of products as well. A lot of us were wondering what this meant for the future of our creative programs. Would the prices increase? Would they do away with certain software or combine some of the programs into one?

Accountability! That’s just great.

Clients just go crazy over the idea of a type of media that is measurable and flexible. Knowing exactly how many times people have seen your ad (whether it’s an email, a banner, a search ad or a co-registration ad) is great. Knowing how many times people click on it – or open it – is even better. Counting up the sales or completed lead forms is a lot of fun. Sometimes.

We just won the Nashville Business Journal’s “Best Place to Work” award. I am so happy that we won. And it’s 100% true. No boring cubicles. No men in suits looking bored or falling asleep. Nobody wondering who took their stapler and if they will be moved to the basement with the storage items.

I'm Getting a Mac
