In the fall of 2009, Paramore|Redd set a goal that we would launch Workamajig by January 2010 and this was successfully accomplished. Workamajig is a web-based job tracking and project management program that claims to “understand the creative firm”...and they do.

If your Pay-Per-Click campaign has been online for a few months and is consistently generating strong click and conversion rates, congratulations! That’s awesome. But before you get too comfortable with your success, take a moment to step back and reflect.

Did you know the average consumer now spends as much time online as they do with any other medium? Technically, those who spend their time with Old Man Television (35%) only make up 1% more than those who get it on digitally (34%). Knowing these stats, it sets me on fire when I experience a number of organizations still treating their website as a trifle expense, only deserving of a modicum amount of financial chump change. Looks like it’s time to pimp out the year 2010. Again.

A couple of months ago, Microsoft gave developers an early look at the next major release of their web browser, Internet Explorer 9. It’s still pretty early in the development stage, so details are somewhat scarce at this point. You’d build a website using code that validates and looks and works the same across all major browsers. But as web technologies mature, we’re seeing more and more opportunities to apply standards-based web development to areas outside of the traditional desktop browser. Apple in particular has done much to adopt these standards for use in other products and platforms.

My mom has always been an excellent cook. We rarely went without a home-cooked meal, however, I distinctly remember the times my family would stop by Back Yard Burgers (BYB) and enjoy a Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich™, or a tasty burger. Needless to say, when they came to Paramore|Redd and told us they needed to reinvent themselves, of course I was up for the challenge!
