On March 2, I’ll be in Raleigh, North Carolina speaking to the fine folks responsible for the success of the tourism industry in that beautiful state. And I know how pretty North Carolina is - I was born there. And though I grew up in Nashville, most people in my family still live there…my father in Wilmington, my grandmother, aunts and cousins around Greenville, and another set in Raleigh. So I’m excited to travel back and hang out for a while.
Here’s a preview of the presentation straight from the conference website:
Paramore to Provide Tips for Effective Online Marketing
Hannah Paramore, president of Paramore|Redd Online Marketing, will wrap up Day One of the 2009 N.C. Governor’s Conference on Hospitality & Tourism as she presents “Our Electronic Culture: Moving your Brand Online.” Many destinations are moving their marketing efforts and budget dollars online to capture an increasing share of the leisure travel market. As this market continues to evolve, the proliferation of free online content creates an intense “noise level” that makes it difficult for DMOs to be the preferred information provider. DMOs must become more visible to the visitor through all media sources. In this session, learn how to navigate the complexities of online marketing using principle-based strategies grounded in research.
If you’re around the area on March 2, pop in and introduce yourself. And if you have input on the topic, I’d love to hear it in time to use it and give you credit for it. Just post a reply below, and I’ll greatly appreciate it.
And ya know, the best part of the trip for me might just be that I’ll get to see my Aunt Tracie for the first time in a long, long time.
