It’s conference time again! Next week I’ll be attending SMX East in NYC. I’m stoked to meet everyone and grab a few beers.

For everyone who can’t make it out to New York this year, I’ll be live blogging from several sessions at SMX East. I’ll be blogging a total of 10 sessions next week.

Today Paramore|Redd will be inducted into the Future 50 Hall of Fame.  This means we’ve won Future 50 for the 5th time and we can’t win anymore.  This is a Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce award which honors the 50 fastest growing companies in Middle Tennessee.  One of the things I like about this award is that it’s based on results, just like our company (see tag line, simple, clear and focused on results).

To say that I am proud of this would be, well, an understatement.  Our company is about 7.5 years old.  When we won for the first time I started to stress immediately because I read the rules and found out that after 5 times you get in the Hall of Fame.  Now, it doesn’t say you have to win 5 times in a row, but I’m thinking that’s exactly what I want to do and so the stress.

All of life is timing. A second too early and you look goofy. A few seconds too late and you’re disrespectful. Make that a few minutes and you could have missed the opportunity altogether.

Well, this time we got it right - hired Justin Briggs, our SEO expert, mere minutes before he won a national award for search engine marketing.

Steve Chandler and Mandy Butters… two names that will melt in your mouth in no time. We’re more than happy (I’m actually doing the jiggy dance in my office at this exact moment) that these two very experienced marketing folks have joined us. Here’s a bit about them and why you’re lucky they’re here too:

After two weeks of vacation at the beautiful, sunny, 75-degree Mayan Riviera on the coast of Mexico with my husband and partner, I headed home Saturday thinking about the keynote presentation I’ll give today in Raleigh, North Carolina at the North Carolina Governor’s Conference on Hospitality and Tourism.

It’s always great to add new talent to our roster of creative geniuses. As part of Paramore|Redd’s acquisition of Cora Syndicate, we’re proud to announce that Jonathan Kelly has joined us as senior software engineer. Jon joins Sean Gates and Matthew Callis on the programming side of our web design and development team.

Today at lunch, we’re all heading over to the Renaissance Hotel in Nashville, where the Nashville Biz Journal will be honoring the city’s “Women of Influence” in Business. Forgive me for blowing her horn, but there won’t be a woman there that can hold a candle to our prez, Hannah Paramore.  I should know. She’s my wife.
